Attention Please! The Judas Iscariots of the new Nigeria
Opinion
By Fr. Paul Jatau
THE mood of Nigerians, the silence of animals, plants and the media space since the 25th of February till now, calls for some kind of reflection or examination of conscience, for “those who have.” Those who think they can plunge a whole nation into this mess should know that, “anyone who is putting on a STOLEN CROWN is only wearing a mere cap.”
All those INEC officials who perpetrated this TRAVESTY are now like Judas after the conviction of Jesus.
They look at their 30 pieces of silver and they see its worthlessness. The scribes and Pharisees who paid that money won’t take it back. They have used and dumped them to perish with their consciences. They have nowhere to turn to. They will face the fate of Judas. It is a perpetual guilt. It only ends in confession or self-damnation.
The rest of Nigerians, currently, feel like the followers of Jesus Christ on that sad day of the conviction of Jesus. After that betrayal, they felt like all hope is lost. Despondent and sad, they mourned their fate.
The scribes and pharisees felt they had the last say. They puffed and huffed that they have “done away with Him and his dissident followers, who challenged the status quo.”
But you know how that ended, right? Yes, there was the Ressurection Morning.
We are in the season of Lent and the betrayal has happened. The burial has happened and that’s why you are mourning. The Ressurection Morning is coming and you will be glad.
The three days maybe three months, but the Ressurection Morning is sure.
Be of good cheers!
A.
