The Accountability Lab at the weekend won the International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award. The award was given in Malaysia over the weekend and it was received on behalf of the company by Blair Glencorse, the executive director and founder, with Faith Pienaar, the senior programme officer.

The prestigious award, presented annually by the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre and the UN Office of Drugs and Crime, supports the very best people and organisations working in support of anti-corruption and integrity globally. The Accountability Lab won in the youth engagement category and accepted the award from the prime minister of Malaysia and the emir of Qatar.

“Thank you to all of you that have supported, worked or partnered with us in big and small ways- this is for you, and for the thousands of people around the world we’re bringing into this movement for accountability and integrity. THANK YOU! This only inspires us to work harder and push even further in our efforts to build a new generation of active citizens and responsible leaders.

“As the end of the year approaches, consider joining our effort to “name and fame” honest government officials around the world through a gift to the Integrity Idol campaign. We have big plans for next year- so stay tuned,” Glencorse said in his goodwill message on the award.
