Bagudu signs Contributory Heath Scheme Bill into law

THE Kebbi Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Bagudu, on Wednesday signed the Contributory Heath Scheme Bill into law.
While the signing the bill into law in Birinin Kebbi, Bagudu said that the scheme would enable the state government access the one per cent set aside for states through the National Heath Care Fund.
The governor said that the scheme was an important element that would lead to more engagement and support from health development partners in the state.
Bagudu also said that his administration had undertaken the necessary reform that would improve the heath sector in the state.
He thanked the state legislature for urgently attending to the bill, adding that the passage of the law would improve the health sector and enable the government to mobilise more resources for it.
He congratulated the state Ministry of Health and members of state executive council for their support towards the passage of the bill into law. (NAN)
