Be part of new Enugu enterprise, group tells politicians

THE Coordinator, Peter Mbah Support Group (PMSG), FCT Chapter, Mr Jude Aninta, has pleaded with Enugu politicians irrespective of party affiliation, to close ranks with Gov. Peter Mbah to achieve the desired development needed in the state.
Aninta made the plea in the aftermath of Mbah’s deserved victories in the electoral processes since he was declared the winner of the March 18, governorship polls in Enugu state, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The victory was affirmed by both the Election Petitions Tribunal and Appeal Courts which dismissed the petitions of the opposition parties, including sundry allegations for incompetence and lack of merit.
Aninta said that having resolved all contending matters using legitimate legal procedures, the opportunity now beckoned on the Mbah administration to speed up its development initiatives to make the state the destination choice of investors.
He acknowledged that all contestants in the governorship race were members of same political family with great interest in creating a better Enugu for future generations.
He, however, said that the opportunity had arisen for all to contribute their quota to restore the state to its political and economic preeminence in the country.
“Enugu state is home to all citizens of the erstwhile Eastern region.
“It is the epicentre of industry, creativity and innovation.
“It can no longer be allowed to slide into oblivion or irrelevance since it is endowed with huge human and economic potential,” he said.
According to Aninta, the first priority of every Enugu citizen, of which the residents are part of, is how to utilise the economic resources inherent in the state to create an environment that speaks to the desires and expectations of every one.
“Our state is rich in human and natural resources and has an array of professionals who are capable of transforming the resources into wealth creation, jobs for the teeming youth and provision of development infrastructure.”
Aninta, also the Director-General, Peter Mbah Abuja Network (PMAN), recalled that Gov. Mbah’s development plans and strategies were capable of unleashing quantum leaps in all spheres of development.
He added that there should commensurate partnership by all to drive the agenda and make the attainment of the targets easier.
Aninta said that the interventions already made by the Mbah administration in water, sanitation, security, roads, transportation and industrialisation were pointers to the direction of the administration.
“With every support this administration can get from the local and international community, as well as global development institutions the catch phrase of ‘tomorrow is here’ can be grasped much earlier in this administration.” (NAN)
