THE organisers of Beauty West Africa (BWA) Expo say over 4,500 visitors and 200 exhibitors are expected at the event designed for small cosmetics companies and traders to boost their visibility across the world.

The organisers, BtoB Events, said the Expo planned to hold from November 20 to 22 this year, would attract all players in the cosmetics production, marketing and distribution.

BtoB Event’s Managing Director, Jamie Hill, said it was excitement to see growth in the local participatory interests for the second edition which had led to the extension of local companies to both halls at the event center to support Nigerian businesses.

Hill said that the firm was collaborating with the Bank of Industry (BoI) to help support access to finance by facilitating applications through the BtoB website.

“The growing international interests in businesses in West Africa, especially Nigeria is why the Expo will feature interesting international world players in the industry.

“We are extremely excited about welcoming new companies from across the world to Nigeria for the first time.

“We have a number of really exciting new exhibitors making their first venture into Africa, offering exclusive opportunities to the attendees,’’ Hill said in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

“As part of BWA’s diverse offerings, there will be beauty conference programmes throughout the three-day event in partnership with Compass Consulting.

“Our conference programmes underpin the importance of education and knowledge sharing and is designed to empower local businesses within the space to navigate the issues faced with building customer base and expanding product portfolios.’’

NAN reports that this year’s expo will be sponsored by an international fragrance brand, India’s Mumbai-based “Lyla Blanc’’ and a U.S.-based hair product brand, “Cantu’’.

According to the statement, Mmoni Sehiapelo of Mamoa Skincare, says the BWA is a platform to go the market with new products and meet with potential partners and marketers in West Africa.

A beauty professional, Veronica Eze, who participated at the BWA launch in 2018 said it was a good opportunity for her company and met with international partners.

The organisation of this year’s Expo is to build on the feedback from last year’s, while indicating that exhibitors were building up and online registration was open through its website. (NAN)
