Belemaoil appoints new CEO, CFO to drive transformation

BELEMAOIL Producing Ltd., an indigenous global oil firm, has appointed Mr Ahmadu Sambo as its new Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer to drive its transformation agenda.

Engr Tein Jack-Rich, Founder/President Belemaoil Producing Ltd., said this in a statement in Abuja on Saturday.

He said the company  also appointed Mr Emmanuel Onos as its Chief Financial Officer to realise its shared vision

He said that the company’s Board of Directors had carefully reviewed their rich credentials and found them deserving of the positions.

He said Sambo, a former Group General Manager (GGM), Finances, NNPC, is joining Belemaoil with over 35 years experience in the oil and gas industry spanning public and private sectors in Nigeria and the USA.

He said Sambo also served as MD of three subsidiaries of NNPC, which include NNPC Pension Fund, NIDAS Marine, and NNPC Oilfield Services, in addition to the position of general manager.

He also said  Sambo was in charge of National Petroleum Investment Services’ Finance and Accounts as well as Group General Manager Accounts for NNPC Group.

He stated that the board was confident that  Sambo’s would derive significant benefits for its joint venture operations and shareholders through quality leadership.

He said that the new CFO, Onos, also came with over 35 years of experience in the financial space of the oil and gas industry at the managerial level in both local and international scenes.

According to him, the Board believes strongly that the combination of the two Sambo Onos, supported by the existing management team, will revitalise the company’s joint venture operations.

He stated that it would unlock multibillion-dollar value and reposition it for a greater height that will be more beneficial to all shareholders.

He said, “The board considers the team as the perfect blend of skills and expertise needed to reset Belemaoil as a world-class E&P company.

He further said that they would ensure that the company becomes the best public enterprise for Nigerian and international equity investors.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Jack-Rich, will now focus on his vision for strategic multi-dimensional business development.

This includes lenses in the Fintech space for strategic partnership with communities to foster financial inclusion, promote social good, peace, and shared prosperity for national gain. (NAN)
