Betty Akeredolu to launch Forum for Wives of Ondo State Officials

THE official launch of the Forum of Wives of Ondo State Officials, FOWOSO, will come up on the December 7.
To this end the office of the Wife of the Governor is inviting the people of Ondo State and the general public to the epoch making event. It is slated to take place at the MKO Abiola Park by 10: 00 am.
High points of the event include parades, match past, various colourful displays, funfair and many other activities from women across the 18 Local Government Areas of Ondo State.
FOWOSO, an initiative of Her Excellency, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu is aimed at providing support and provide enabling environments for Members’ husbands and complement their efforts towards delivering good governance to the people of Ondo state.
A statement signed by Oluwatobi Fademi, Press Secretary to the Wife of the Governor
said Other goals of FOWOSO include: enlisting the participation of Ondo state women in the socio-economic development of the state; addressing the growing concerns of women’s low contribution towards development; galvanising women across the 18LGAs for self and general development; organising a monthly outreach also known as ‘Gbebiro’ and organising an annual women’s conference at the state capital
The statement said further that under FOWOSO as a platform,many laudable initiatives will be undertaken towards the much needed socio-economic development and transformation of the women and the people of Ondo.
