THE Bishop, Diocese of Kwara, Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Sunday Ajewole, on Sunday in Ilorin urged  Nigerians to rely on God in the face of economic challenges.

Ajewole who is also the Kwara Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), stated this while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) following his Easter message.

He said there was need for Nigerians to sacrifice time, talent, treasure, faithfulness and be available and teachable.

“We need peace in this country. Everybody should try as much as possible to sacrifice so that others will be at peace.

“Sacrifice is very important this time around. Sacrifice everything: your time, your talent, your treasure,” the Bishop said.

He noted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ was not a fiction, saying it was a reality which brought salvation and healing.

Ajewole emphasised the need to trust and develop faith in God and come to Him at all times.

“When we rely on God, things will work well.

“I also strongly kick against preaching Christ without Christ, salvation without sanctification, decision without discipleship, love without lordship, prosperity without purpose, blessing without birthright and revival without reformation,” the Bishop said.(NAN)
