Borno activates joint operation centre to enhance security

BORNO Government has activated a joint operation centre for intelligence sharing among security agencies in the state.
The Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Prof. Usman Tar, made this known in a statement on Wednesday in Maiduguri.
Tar stated that adequate measures have been put in place to ensure the effectiveness of the centre.
According to him, part of the measures include the donation of solar panels, batteries, and walkie-talkies to the police command in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the centre will serve as a communication hub for coordination between security agencies to improve response times and operational efficiency.(NAN)
