BREAKING NEWS, Entertainment Briefs

THE British Homeland Security has deported Helen Ukpabio, a self-acclaimed Nigerian witch-hunter, from Britain. The deportation followed the British media campaign which asked that Ukpabio should be deported and banned from the country after it was discovered that she had been in Britain for days holding secret crusades. Succumbing to the media campaign against the Nollywood actress and producer, the British government has demonstrated its unwillingness to condone acts of maltreatment of children. The government has also banned her from entering the country again.

Ukpabio, who arrived in London about a week ago for a chain of three weeks deliverance service, had barely held two of her services when the press and human rights activists got wind of her presence and mission to the country and invaded the venue of her deliverance service with placards. They followed this up with protests and petition to the British Home Secretary.

Ukpabio, is also the president and founder, Liberty Gospel Church with its headquarters in Calabar, capital of Cross River State. Ukpabio is known for war against witches and wizards, majority of them being vulnerable and abandoned children.
