Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, has described the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign rally in Kano on Thursday, January 31, as a continuation of the corruption of Abdullahi Ganduje, the governor of Kano State.

President Muhammadu Buhari, had on Thursday, endorsed Ganduje during his presidential rally despite bribery allegations against the governor.

On issue of corrupt charges against Ganduje, the president said he is a sitting governor, who enjoys immunity from prosecution in his own right and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Reacting to the rally in Kano, Fayose described Buhari as the “grandfather of corruption family of Nigeria celebrating the exploits of one of his children. “

He also condemned the appearance of Niger Republic governors at the rally.

Fayose on his Twitter page wrote: “The grandfather of Corruption Family of Nigeria went to Kano today in continuation to celebrate the exploits of one of his children.

“Siblings of the Kano child in whom Baba Corruption is well pleased also came from neighbouring country to join in the celebration of corruption.”

Recall that Issa Moussa of Zinder and Zakiri Umar of Maradi, both governors from the Republic of Niger, were in Kano State to rally support for Buhari’s re-election bid.
