DIAMOND Bank Plc, Nigeria’s leading retail bank, has received another award from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, for compliance in cash handling and punctuality. This is the fourth time that the bank has clinched the award for excellent performance.
Hajiya Ameena P. Abubakar, Kano CBN Branch Controller, presented the award to Diamond bank at the awards dinner held recently. At the well-attended event were representatives from the banking community in Kano, a representative of the Kano State government, members of the Kano Emirate council as well as CBN officials from Abuja. According to the CBN, Diamond Bank has, over the years, met the set criteria for the award, one of which includes excellent cash handling procedures with minimum shortages found in cash deposited with CBN Kano. The CBN Branch Controller added that the yearly Award dinner seeks to identify key areas that need attention and also celebrate companies that comply with laid down procedures.
