MR John Gabaya, the Chairman, Bwari Area Council of the FCT has urged the newly inaugurated councillors in the area to support positive contributions to fast track development of the district.

Gabaya gave the charge while meeting with the councillors on Tuesday in Bwari, Abuja.

He said that it was the mission of his administration to lay behind an enduring positive legacy, while urging the new councillors to emulate and do better than their predecessors.

Gabaya said: “You must know that your predecessors have done their bits and left their marks.

“We worked harmoniously to serve the people while carrying out our mandates.

“We were able to learn, love, mature but most importantly we achieved together.

“Without doubt, the 8th Assembly’s cooperation and support made it easy for my administration to deliver on most of our electoral promises in my first tenure.

“I sincerely hope that you will give that same support so that together, we can move Bwari Area Council to greater success,” he said.

Gabaya said that his administration would continue to engage appropriate higher level of government to improve and expand social amenities across the 10 political wards of the council.

The chairman reiterated that his administration was working assiduously to improve on the council’s revenue generation to meet its target.

Speaking on behalf of the councillors, Mr Jeremiah Alkali assured that they would give their support as expected of them and also work to achieve the set goals of the council administration.

“This is to make sure that this council moves ahead. I assure you that by the grace of God, we will do more than your expectations,” Alkali said.
