THE Police Command in Lagos State has announced the restriction of movement on Saturday, in Surulere Local Government Area, for Surulere Federal Constituency 1 by-election.

The Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the restriction in a statement on Friday.

Hundeyin said that Funsho Williams Avenue, leading from Ikorodu Road through National Stadium to Lagos Island will be free for passage only.

“Movement into and out of feeder roads off Funsho Williams Avenue will not be permitted.

“For other parts of Lagos State, there is absolutely no restriction of movement,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the by-election is to elect a Federal House of Representatives member, representing Surulere Constituency 1, to replace Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, who was appointed Chief of Staff to the President. (NAN)
