CAF announces Ecobank Official Sponsor of AFCON

THE Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced Ecobank, as the Official Sponsor of the Total Energies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Côte d’Ivoire 2023.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that AFCON, the biggest football event in Africa, will kick off on Jan. 13 and end on Feb. 14, 2024.
A statement on the CAF website on Wednesday, quoting Jeremy Awori, Chief Executive Officer, Ecobank Group, saying “The TotalEnergies CAF AFCON highlights the pride Africans across the world would feel during the matches.
“We are proud to associate Ecobank with CAF to contribute to the success of TotalEnergies AFCON Côte d’Ivoire 2023
“It brings communities together, fully aligning with Ecobank’s commitment to drive regional integration.
“It is an honour for Ecobank to play a key role in bringing millions of Africans together to live their passion for football, making sure that loyal customers benefit from this experience,“he said.
He said as an official Sponsor, the bank will reward some of its customers across its vast footprint, by giving the opportunity to win tickets to experience matches in-person at this pan-African celebration.
Awori urged customers to look out for AFCON promotions and adverts in their markets or at their Ecobank affiliates’ official social media pages.
He said that the partnership with CAF demonstrates the bank`s commitment to its pan-African heritage and reinforcing its connection with hundreds of millions of Africans.(NAN)
