THE Confederation of African Football on Tuesday, September 29, fined the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, $5,000 for fans’ misconduct during the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad in Kaduna, June this year.
The offence was that as soon as the referee whistled for end of the match, fans invaded the pitch. The Nigerian Super Eagles defeated their Chadian opponent 2-0.
According to a statement released on the CAF website, the decision was one of the many actions taken during the body’s disciplinary committee meeting held on September 20.
