Campaign : Makinde appoints BCOS boss to head media committee

GOV. Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has appointed Mr Dotun Oyelade, has the Chairman of his Media and Publicity committee of the 2O23 Seyi Makinde Campaign Council.
Oyelade, a veteran broadcaster, is the Chairman of the state owned Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS).
The Director-General of the campaign council and Deputy Governor, Chief Bayo Lawal, made this known to newsmen on Wednesday evening in Ibadan.
It will be recalled that Gov. Makinde ahead of the 2019 elections, where he emerged winner, had appointed Oyelade to a similar position
Lawal said that the appointment of Oyelade by Gov. Makinde was as a result of his outstanding track record in the 2019 governorship election in the state when he successfully managed the media and publicity committee.
He described the new appointee as “an executive media guru with experience’’ who is expected to effectively coordinate the media and publicity committee of the reelection bid of Gov. Makinde very well.
“This is with a view to ensuring victory for the governor and other candidates of the PDP during the forthcoming general election.”
The personal assistant to the governor, Akeem Azeez and Mr Taiwo Otegbeye, a former commissioner for Information, were also appointed as members of the media and publicity committee.
Other appointments made into the campaign council by the governor include Dr Nureni Adeniran as deputy director-general for Oyo South; Mr Adeniyi Aderinto, as deputy director-general for Oyo North and Mr Temitope Oladimeji, as deputy director-general Oyo central.
Mrs Toyin Balogun was named as Director Women mobilisation while Dikko Salami was appointed as director of youth mobilisation.(NAN)
