CDS commiserates with Kenya over death of defence chief

GENERAL Christopher Musa, chief of defence staff, CDS, has commiserated with the Government and people of the Republic of Kenya over the unfortunate death of General Francis Ogolla, Kenya chief of the defence forces.

The CDS on behalf of members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria is saddened by the news of the helicopter crash which resulted to the tragic loss of the brilliant general and other senior military officers of the Kenya Defence Forces at Maramwet County yesterday, according to a release by Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, director of Defence Information on Friday.

The CDS noted that the officer was well decorated, highly Professional and dedicated his life to the service of his Nation and was committed to the security of the East African sub-region in particular and Africa in general.

He enjoined the Nation to be consoled by the good name, accomplishments and the great memories of his impactful life during his meritorious  service to his nation while he was alive.            

He prayed that the Almighty God would grant his soul and that of the departed colleagues eternal rest, as well as granting their families and the Keyan Defence Forces the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
