NIGERIAN home-based Super Eagles on Thursday, January 14, drew the curtains on their training in Pretoria, South Africa, and left for Rwanda on Friday, January 15, for the African Nations Championships, CHAN.
The Super Eagles ‘B’ team left Nigeria on January 2, to train in South Africa, for acclimatisation and to put finishing touches to their strategies in preparation for the CHAN tournament.
During their stay in Pretoria, the team was unbeaten in all its three friendly games, winning two and drawing one against Angola, which is also expected at the 2016 CHAN tournament.
“Final day of training in Pretoria, South Africa, but the commitment levels and hunger in the team remain high,” a tweet on the official handle of the Super Eagles read.
At the end of the training session, Sunday Oliseh, head coach of the team, said he was happy with what had been achieved collectively in the Pretoria Camp.
“We’ve finished this phase of preparation, better focused and more determined to excel in Rwanda,” Oliseh said.
