THE Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday said that the Russian-Chinese cooperation played a stabilising role globally amid the growing geopolitical turbulence.

Putin said this in a video-conference with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

He said that amid the growing geopolitical turbulence, the demolition of arms control agreements and the increasing conflict potential across the world, the Russian-Chinese coordination played a stabilising role in the global affairs.

Putin said that it included acute issues as the situation on the Korean Peninsula, Syria and Afghanistan, and the restoration of the plan of action on the Iran nuclear programme. (Sputnik/NAN)
