THE newly elected President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Mr Emeka Obegolu, has described Christmas as a time for love, sharing and expressing compassion towards one another.

Obegolu, in a statement on Tuesday, said this while extending his heartfelt greetings to all Christians in Nigeria on the occasion of the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

He encouraged all Nigerians to embrace the spirit of the season by reaching out to those in need and spreading joy through acts of kindness.

He, therefore, called on individuals who are financially capable to support the less privileged, acknowledging the challenging economic conditions facing many.

“There is transformative power in modest gestures, and this can profoundly impact the lives of those who are experiencing difficulties.

“I am appealing to the government at all levels to prioritise the provision of essential infrastructure, streamline tax policies, and enhance the ease of conducting business.

“These measures are indispensable for fostering the development and growth of enterprises and propelling economic progress,” he said.

The ACCI boss then reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the interests of the business community.

Obegolu also expressed optimism for the positive impact of collective efforts in driving sustainable development and prosperity.(NAN)
