Church of Satan says Abia pastor is not their member
Religion
The Church of Satan has disowned a pastor in Ohafia, Abia State said to have been arrested by the police.
Irate youths stormed the church recently and demolished its monuments and statues.
Pastor of the church, Ifekwe Udo, was rescued by the police from being lynched by the mob.
However, in a tweet on Wednesday, the Church of Satan said it had nothing to do with Udo.
“This has nothing to do with us or Satanism. As we’ve repeatedly warned people, avoid scammers like this and get accurate information directly from https://t.co/krnS3t0Ds0,” the church said.
It further said on its website: “Unlike most churches, we have no set activities, meetings or contacts. We are not a congregational religion. The new member comes to the organization, ideally, with his own goals and plans for achieving them; he presents them to us and is directed in the way that would be most mutually beneficial.
“We do not have chapters and our Grottos were disbanded as being unnecessary. Our organization does not have church buildings as that would be against our individualist approach to living.” – QED
