THE Catholic Bishop of Minna Diocese, Martins Uzuokwu, on Wednesday advised Nigerians to demonstrate political maturity during and after general elections.

Uzuokwu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna that it was only through peaceful atmosphere that free, fair and transparent election would be guaranteed.

He also tasked security agencies, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other stakeholders to provide a level playing ground for all the candidates in the conduct of the election.

“Nigerians should pray to God for His peace, love, mercy and justice for the common good of our country.

“We have no other country but Nigeria. Let us unite, irrespective of religious, ethnic and political differences, to ensure peace reign during and after the polls,” he said. (NAN)
