CIVIL Liberties Organization, CLO, Anambra State has appeal to President Buhari to rescue Nigerians from excruciating sufferings, pains and frustrations necessitated by currency change, high cost of petroleum products and difficulties encounters in obtaining PVC.

It is necessary and indispensable for government to ensure strict and judicious implementation of government policies and directives in that regard.

Government should also divise strategic marshall plans to apprehend and prosecute alleged bank officials frustrating good intentions of government through engaging in unwholesome sharp practices, currency hoarding, buying and selling to the detriment of the citizenry.

Central Bank of Nigeria has reassured Nigerians that it has printed and disbursed enough new naira notes in various banks in the country.

One pertinent question begging for answer is”why the scarcity that has subjected Nigerians to untold hardships and sufferings?

It is incumbent upon CBN to swing into action and rescue the situation and help ameliorates the pathetic and despicable sufferings of the citizens.

This is contained in a press statement issued to newsmen endorsed by Evangelist Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme chairman and Comrade Chidi Mbah Secretary titled” the essence of government is for happiness of greater number of citizens stated that people now left their houses as early as 4am to go to bank for withdraw sometimes without success.

We appeal to CBN governor to constitute men and women of impeccable integrity into monitoring and evaluation committee to ensure strict compliance s to the government directive.

Similarly we seek government intervention in astrological artificial increase in prizes of petroleum products despite non official increase of the petroleum products. It is irrefutable truth that petroleum products are now sells between#400 to#500 in Anambra and other southeast states.

This has not only exacerbated people’s sufferings,it has also lead to hyperinflation and unprecedented increases in the prizes of goods and services.

CLO also calls on Nigeria Medical Association because of current scarcity of cash flows due to currency redesign not to demand for deposit from patients before admission as it is now very difficult to access cash from banks.

Let them out of love for God, humanity and country not to give up in their onerous task of savings life due to paucity of funds by patients. They should remember and bear it in mind their Hippocrates oath to always saves and protects life first CLO reiterated.
