THE Anambra State Chairman of Civil Liberties Organization, CLO, Vincent Ezekwueme has extolled the impeccable integrity of former governor of Anambra State and Labour Party presidential candidate during 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi as he clocks 63.
Obi is an epitome of new hope of envisaged Nigerian politician that has the character, competence, capacity and conscience to enthrone new Nigeria of our dreams, hopes and aspirations.
His general acceptance during last year’s presidential election is an indication that Nigerians appreciate his politics of morality, patriotism, peacefulness, simplicity, transformational, prudent, selflessness and judicious use of public funds for public good.
It is on record that he is the only politician that left humongous fund in government’s coffers while leaving office.
He has not collected his entitled pensions and gratuity since he left office.
It is of prime importance to note that since he left office, he gives grants to schools, hospitals, youths, health institutions in all sections of the country and contributes immensely towards poverty reduction and eradication.
“As you mark your birthday, may the Almighty God give you more wisdom, grace, protection, good health and wealth as you continue to serve God and humanity.
“His belief in the wise assertion of John Holmes that “the only good motive in life is the motive of doing good for one’s country and her citizens singled him out as rare and unique gift to humanity.
“I appeal to the political class and Nigerians to emulate Peter Obi’s God fearing, humble and honest life style in order to make our good better and our better best to the Glory of God.
“Wishing His Excellency more fruitful, peaceful, prosperous, progressive and healthy years ahead beyond measures,” he said.
