THE family of late Pa Sylvester Obika Ezekwueme of Uguakwu Village Umuchu in Aguata Local Government has announced with great pain and sorrow passing unto glory of their patriarach Pa Sylvester Obika Ezekwueme on February 8, at ripe age of 102yrs.

According to release issued by head of Ezekwueme family Mr.Simon Ezekwueme stated that late Pa Sylvester Obika Ezekwueme died after brief illness associated with old age.

Ezekwueme while alive was a devoted and dedicated christian, strict disciplinarian, moralist and strong believer in social justice, equity and egalitarian society.He always stand and believe in what is right, fair, just and credible regardless the consequences.His stand for truth, justice and good governance earned him an appellation of”Truth must come out from mouth”.

He inculcated in his children patriotism,moral rectitude,fear of God and selfless sacrifices and services to God and humanity.

He is father of   chairman Civil Liberties Organization CLO and Center For Change Anambra State.

Pa Ezekwueme is one of few surviving  members Zikist Movement,later Nigeria Peoples Party, Social Democratic Party and oldest member All Progressive Grand  Alliance in Onitsha South LG.

He was a Member Green Seeds Dealers Association Ose/Army Barracks Onitsha, Catholic Men Organization , Umuchu Town Union Onitsha branch among others.

He was very energetic, healthy, hardworking and he lived selfless and generous life worthy of commendation and emulation.

The family has opened condolence register at his residence at No 14 Uga Street Fegge Onitsha.

Burial arrangements will be announce later by the family after due consultations with his relationships and loved ones.

Speaking his son and Chairman CLO  Comrade Evangelist Vincent Ezekwueme  described him as a rare and unique gift to humanity.His believe in justice, truth and uprightness is unequal, outstanding and unprecedented.

To the glory of God he came,he saw and he conquered.We equally prays to God to forgive his shortcomings and grant his gentle and humble soul eternal reposed.
