THE Chairman Civil Liberties Organization CLO, Anambra State Branch felicitates with Christians on this year auspicious occasion of Christmas celebration.
In his Christmas message, the CLO Chairman, Vincent Ezekwueme, called on Christians to emulate the sacrificial life of Jesus by rendering selfless and humanitarian assistance to the less privileged and downtrodden in the society. Let us use this period to reconciles with our creator and one another, which is the reason for the season.
He appealed to oil marketers and transporters not to raise the prices of petroleum products and transport fares in order to reduce the sufferings and agony of the citizenry.
“Similarly we sympathizes and identify with families of those who lost their lives during Christmas rice sharing events at Okija by Obijackson Foundation. “We pray to God to forgive their shortcomings and grant eternal repose of their souls. May the bereaved Okija Community and Ihiala Local Government accept our health felt, sincere condolences and assurances of our prayers at this mournful and sorrowful moment and grant them the grace and fortitude to bear and endure the irreparable loss.
‘We also pray that such devastating calamity will never befall our dear state again by the grace of God,” the statement said
