MARSHALL Israel, the Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission (PCC) has called for partnership with Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for effective service delivery.

Israel made the call when he led a delegation of the commission on a working visit to the Comptroller of Immigration in Rivers, Mr Isa Panshekara.

He stressed the need for the two federal agencies to  synergise to achieve effective and efficient service delivery to the citizenry.

He said “the need for partnership and information dissemination among Federal Government agencies in Rivers cannot be overemphasised.”

The NIS comptroller said that the partnership would afford heads of government agencies the opportunity to share ideas and to expedite service delivery to the public.

He said that recruitment and development of personnel was a continuous process in NIS.

Panshekara, who congratulated the  commissioner, added that “I will like to partner with PCC in areas of enlightenment and awareness as it relates to the public.

“There have been instances where companies flout Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with their hosts and vice versa.

“So, there is need for alternative dispute resolution through the intervention of PCC as to avert situations that may trickle down economic activities.” (NAN)
