A delegation of Anya-Ndi-Igbo, an organization comprising representatives of key Igbo associations has visited Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Imeobi affirmed president general of Ohanaeze, at the Ohanaeze National, Secretariat, Enugu, June 1.
The delegation was led by Uma Eleazu, chairman, Board of Trustees, BOT, Chris Okoye, president, Okey Nwadinobi, secretary, Emeka Ugwu-Oju, member, BOT, and some eminent Igbo Stakeholders,
The meeting exchanged views on the permanent resolution of the lingering crisis in Ohanaeze and the Rebirth of the Igbo umbrella organization, anchored on the recommendations of the Igbo Archbishops and Bishops on Peace and Conflict Resolution.
At the meeting, the secretary of the Committee of Igbo Archbishops and Bishops on Peace and Conflict Resolution, His Grace, Most Reverend, Chibuzo Raphael Opoko, Methodist Bishop of Umuahia, represented the report and recommendations of their committee on the resolution of the Ohanaeze crisis to Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.
It is hoped that after the affirmation of Iwuanyanwu as the president general of Ohanaeze by the General Assembly, the report and recommendations of the Igbo archbishops and bishops will be treated with utmost urgency.
Other Igbo groups whose representatives attended the meeting are the Igbo Town Unions, Nzuko Umunna, Aka-Ikenga, Igbo Leaders of Thought, Alaigbo Development Foundation, Igbo-Amaka Traders Association, Lagos.
