AN Ibadan-born businessman, Chief Dotun Sanusi, says courage, doggedness and legendary philanthropic activities worked in favour of Sen. Bola Tinubu to emerge as the nation’s President-elect.
Sanusi made the assertions in a congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Ibadan.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday morning declared Tinubu as winner of the 2023 Presidential election.
NAN reports that Sanusi, a Senior Chief in Ibadan and philanthropist, has been a promoter of Tinubu’s presidential bid in Oyo State.
Sanusi had organised rallies concurrently for over three months, which were widely attended from all geopolitical zones of the state and South-West to drum supports for Tinubu in Ibadan.
He said that Tinubu’s victory was earned, merited and divinely ordained, adding “the election is the best in recent times.”
According to him, many great politicians lost their constituencies and states to the relatively unknown underdogs with little or no political structure.
“It is, therefore, with great joy and enthusiasm that I join millions of admirers to congratulate Tinubu.
“Tinubu is a man of destiny who, despite many hurdles placed on his way to the nation’s number one office, weathered all the storms and came out victorious.
“It takes a man of immense strength and determination to overcome challenges to achieve what he has accomplished today,” he said.
Sanusi prayed for divine wisdom and greater strength for Tinubu to succeed in the huge task ahead of him for the nation to witness shared prosperity, peace, as well as security.
“I also pray for stability in the areas of economy, quality education for our teeming youths, quality healthcare delivery, leap in infrastructure and general wellbeing of all our people,” Sanusi said. (NAN)
