Court remands 2 for alleged murder of 34- year-old

AN Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, on Thursday ordered remand of two men, Fatai Jimoh, 50, and Kamoru Oladejo, 46, for alleged murder of a 34-year-old man.
The Magistrate, Mrs M. M. Olagbenro, ordered the remand of the defendants pending advice from Oyo State Director of Public Prosecutions.
She adjourned the case until Feb. 12, 2025, dor mention.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the defendants, who reside at the Ido area of Ibadan, are charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Earlier, prosecution counsel, Insp Elisha Tellang, told the court that the defendants, on Nov. 5, about 5:20 p.m. conspired and beat one Mr Waidi Kabiru to death during a fracas.
He said the offences were committed at Idi – Sango Village in Ido, Ibadan.
Tellang said that the offences contravened Section 316 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Oyo State, 2000. (NAN)
