AN Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court on Tuesday remanded a man, Oluwatobi Adedapo for alleged defilement of a 10-year-old girl.

Justice Rahman Oshodi remanded Adedapo in Kirikiri Maximum Correctional Centre pending his trial.

Oshodi adjourned the case until April 23 for trial.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge of defilement, following his arraignment.

The state counsel, Ms Bukola Okeowo told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on Sept. 22, 2022, on Remilekun Street, Adamo, Ikorodu, Lagos.

Okeowo submitted that the defendant defiled the victim.
