Court remands man for allegedly stealing 4 pieces of Iron rods

A Sharia Court in Kano State on Thursday remanded a 35-year-old man, Muhammed Sai’du, at a correctional facility for allegedly stealing four pieces of Iron rods worth N149,250.

The police charged Sai’du who lives at Sharada in Gwale Local Government Area of Kano with criminal conspiracy and theft.

The prosecutor, Insp Zahradeen Abubakar, told the court that the case was reported on Jan. 21, at Sharada Police Station by one Abba Musa, the  complainant.

Abubakar said the defendant allegedly trespassed into the complainant’s shop and stole four pieces of Iron rods

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Judge, Malam Umar Lawal-Abubakar,  adjourned the case until Feb.10 for further mention. (NAN)
