SEN. Bashir Marafa, Senatorial Candidate for Taraba Central Senatorial District, has lauded the judgment of the Federal High Court dismissing a petition against him on the conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries.

He commended the court on Monday in Jalingo while reacting to the judgment of the court on the petition filed against him by Sen. Abubakar Tutare.

He called on Tutare to join hands with him to deliver APC in Taraba Central in particular and the state in general.

“I am happy with the judgment, and it has proven that the court is indeed the last hope of the common man.

“Tutare in 2011 benefited from the same court in which an election process was faulted and the judgment was passed in his favour.

“Today, the same court has favoured me and I am urging him to join hands with me so that together, we shall make our party win in the fourth coming election,” he said.

The Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo had earlier, dismissed the petition filed by Sen. Tutare who approached the court seeking the nullification of the process that led to the emergence of Marafa as the senatorial candidate of the APC in Taraba Central Senatorial District.

He contended that primary elections were not held to produce a candidate of such, praying the court to order a fresh primary election for the district.(NAN)
