BASHIR Danmalam, the Chairman Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), has called on its members across the country to get vaccinated for  COVID-19.

Danmalam, who made the call on Wednesday in Kano while receiving his jab, said the aim was to prevent the further spread of the virus in the country.

He further enjoined all the stakeholders in the supply and distribution of petroleum products in the country to ensure they take the vaccine to help end the pandemic.

According to him, the itinerant nature of their business, interaction and closeness to the public makes their members more exposed to the virus.

“Therefore, our members qualified to be frontline workers susceptible to the risk of contracting the virus.” Danmalam said.

He, therefore, commended the Federal government and President Muhammadu Buhari for ensuring that the vaccine was provided in the country.
