THE All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has commended the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, for measures he had taken so far to ensure zero cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the state.
The party also hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for the relentless efforts of the Federal Government to contain the spread of the pandemic.
The immediate past Publicity Secretary of APC, Chris Finebone, who spoke in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, said Wike had done well in his preventive measures to keel the state free from the deadly virus.
He said the state government deserved the support of all stakeholders adding that there was no place of partisan politics in the fight against the pandemic.
He said: “At this point in time, we all must lend our voices and support the efforts by the Federal Government and the Rivers State government to stem and defeat Coronavirus in Nigeria and in our dear state.”
“At a perilous time that threatens our common humanity, partisan politics has no place. We must join hands with all and sundry to defeat this common enemy of mankind.” – The Nation
