COMPTROLLER Jammal Adediran, the new Controller of Customs in charge of Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu Command, says his command will partner with the Enugu State Police Command toward enhancing security.
Adediran made this known on Thursday in Enugu when he led some key officers of his command on a courtesy visit to the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Danmallam.
He noted that he came to register his presence and seek for better ways to enhance the already existing synergy between the police and customs in the state.
“I pledge my support and that of my command to the already existing relationship and partnership between the police command and customs for a safe and secured environment in the state,’’ the customs chief said.
Responding, Danmallam said that the existing relationship between the two organisations “is like two sides of a coin that cannot do without each other’’.
According to the commissioner, the police command has always collaborated with the Nigeria Customs Service for a safe and secured Enugu State.
“I assure you that this command will continue to partner with customs and other relevant agencies in the state for a safe and secured state,’’ he said. (NAN)
