Dangote to speak at Alumni Day of University of Dundee, Nigerian Chapter

THE University of Dundee Alumni Chapter, Nigeria, has announced that Aliko Dangote, Chairman and CEO of Dangote Industries is the keynote speaker at its 2024 Alumni Day, scheduled to hold on November 2, 2024, at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Lagos.

According to the statement by the organisers, Aliko Dangote will be represented by Fatima Aliko Dangote, Executive Director, Dangote Industries to share insights on Nigeria’s evolving investment landscape.

It added that the event themed “Celebrating Our Successes: Mapping the Future,” will focus on navigating private sector investment in Nigeria, exploring opportunities and challenges such as regulatory hurdles, infrastructure deficits and the impact of political stability on investment flows.

The statement said that notable personalities such as: Dr. Ibrahim Bashir, Deputy Director, Public Health State House Abuja, Adeola Agunbiade, Director,  Commercial and Business Development, Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria,  FAAN, Adeoye Adefulu, Managing Partner Odujirin, David Ifeanyi Aloh, Group Head of Legal, Africa Choice International Group, and Tamara Egbedi, Co-founder PachaMama Foods would be in attendance.

The panel, according to the organisers, will engage in flavourful discourse on pressing issues affecting private sector investment in Nigeria.

George Kobani, President, University of Dundee Alumni Chapter, Nigeria assured that “the 2024 Alumni Day promises to be an inspiring event that not only celebrates the successes of the University of Dundee’s alumni, but also provides a platform to discuss forward-looking strategies for fostering economic growth through private sector investment in Nigeria.”

“We invite all alumni, stakeholders, and guests to join us for this insightful and engaging event as we continue to strengthen the Dundee Alumni community and contribute to the future of investment in Nigeria,” the statement added.
