ON Tuesday, October 10, 2023, the Nigerian social media space was awash with rumours that Davido and Chioma Rowland, his wife, have welcomed a set of twins.

The rumours claimed Chioma gave birth to the twins on Monday in the United States.

Gospel Agochukwu, the general overseer of Shekina Area Gospel Ministry, is among the prominent persons circulating the reports.

The cleric took to his official Facebook page to share what appeared to be a screenshot of his WhatsApp chat with Davido.

In the purported conversation, the Afrobeats star seemed to have informed the clergyman that the prophecy he made last year had come to pass.

Joey Ovie, the music executive, took to X, formerly Twitter, to share a terse post which reads: “Confirmed. Davido and Chioma. Double blessings”.

In the same vein, Daddy Freeze, the media personality, congratulated the couple via his Instagram page.

However, associates and sources close to the couple have refused to speak on the matter.

The ‘Timeless’ hitmaker and Chioma lost Ifeanyi, their three-year-old son, on October 30, 2022. Ifeanyi was said to have drowned in a pool within Davido’s residence in Banana Island, Lagos.

The boy was thereafter rushed to a hospital in Lekki where he was confirmed dead.

In March, Davido confirmed his marriage to Chioma.

Reaknews reports that although the Davido had reacted to the story going round, he neither confirmed or debunked it.

According to a post on his X account on Wednesday October 11, the singer had asked his fans to stop posting old pictures.

His Tweet: “Stop circulating old pictures thank you.”
