THE Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr. Funminiyi Afuye, has described the sudden death of the immediate past Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Fransisca Aladejana, as a “rude shock’ to all.

Afuye said this in a condolence message signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Tai Oguntayo, on Tuesday, Ado-Ekiti.

The speaker who described the late SUBEB boss as intellectual par excellence said “the state has lost one of its best brains in the education industry.

“‘All of us and indeed the entire state will miss Aladejana, she already made her mark in her calling and left indelible legacies on the sand of time before her demise.

“In this life, it is not how long, but how well,” Afuye said.

He, therefore, prayed that God would grant the family and the entire state the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Aladejana was the immediate past SUBEB boss and until her death on Monday, May 17, the Special Adviser to Gov. Kayode Fayemi on Educational Matters.(NAN)
