THE Nigerian Army Headquarters Garrison, has announced the commencement of its Annual Range Classification 2020 from March 23 at Guards Brigade shooting Range in Keffi, Nassarawn State.
The Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Omale Ochagwuba, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
Ochagwuba said that the aim of the exercise was to refresh troops on Weapon Handling and Marksmanship principles in order to sustain their professionalism.
He added that the exercise would also help the person sustain the prospects of being professionally responsive in the discharge of their responsibilities in line with the Chief of Army Staffs year 2020 Strategic Directive to Nigerian Army Personnel.
“Accordingly, there will be a movement of troops between Abuja-Keffi within the stipulated days.
“The general public is advised not to panic and the communities living around the Range area in Keffi are advised to go about their lawful businesses and keep off the Range area during the exercise,” he said. (NAN)
