Delta Speaker assures lawmakers of good working environment

THE Speaker of the Delta House of Assembly, Mr Dennis Guwor, has restated his resolve to provide conducive working environment for lawmakers and staff of the State legislature.

Guwor stated this on Friday while inspecting ongoing rehabilitation work in the administrative building of the Assembly at the Assembly Complex, in Asaba.

The speaker, who was accompanied by the Clerk of the Assembly , Mr Otto Aghoghophia, some management staff and labour union leaders, expressed joy that the long-standing issue of the central cooling systems in the facility has been resolved.

Guwor explained that the rehabilitation work was not just about physical infrastructure, but creating a comfortable working atmosphere that fosters productivity, collaboration and effective governance.

“As we continue to work towards the development of our dear state, we must ensure that our infrastructure supports our goals.

“This rehabilitation work is a step in the right direction, and I look forward to seeing its positive impact on our work,” he said.

The speaker commended the staff for their patience and urged them to remain focused and continue to work towards improved productivity.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the staff were grateful to the Speaker for attending to their concerns during the visit.

They expressed gratitude for the Speaker’s leadership and efforts in addressing critical infrastructure needs in the Assembly Complex.(NAN)
