Deputy governor solicits support for Edo Queens’ acting coach

The Deputy Governor of Edo, Philip Shaibu, on Thursday in Benin solicited full support for Stanley Osazee, the newly-appointed acting technical manager of Edo Queens Women Football Club.
Shaibu, while formally introducing Osazee to the club’s playing and coaching personnel, urged them to cooperate with him for them to succeed.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Shaibu said all necessary support was needed to enable the team succeed in their subsequent games.
“Osazee is to back up the two senior female coaches, Helen Ibrahim and Gladys Nwagbara, as well as provide technical support for the team.
“Please, cooperate with him, respect him. He is the head coach of Bendel Insurance Feeders team and he is a winner.
“He is a LaLiga-trained coach. His work begins now and shall provide technical support while we look into the issues that led to the suspension of coach Rollanson Odeh,” Shaibu said.
The deputy governor also encouraged the Edo Queens players to raise their game and work harder.
”This is necessary for you to be able to realise your set goal of qualifying for the first CAF Women’s Champions League.
NAN reports that the Edo Queens FC management had on Wednesday suspended Odeh, who was the head coach of the team.
Odeh’s suspension was announced through a press statement by team’s media officer, Ogieva Ehiosun.
While Ehiosun did not give any reason for the suspension, He however disclosed that the head coach’s suspension was with immediate effect.(NAN)
