Diamond Bank Promotes Savings Culture among Children

DIAMOND Bank Plc is promoting savings culture among children with the launch of an essay writing competition for teenagers. The competition is meant to challenge young people to visualise the future and creatively work to bring their aspirations to reality.

Apart from inspiring creativity and productivity, the bank said the Diamond Cool-Teens Essay Competition was aimed at helping teenagers to build healthy savings culture, develop prudent expenditure profile and rewarding investment character.

Ayona Trimnell, spokesperson of the bank, said that the essay writing competition would drive financial inclusion among teenagers. She said, “We are very passionate about young people, how they think about money and how to achieve their dreams in life. Knowing this, the bank has created each product segment that would help bring out the best in them.”

Aisha Ahmad, head, Consumer Banking, Diamond Bank, said the bank had developed products for teenagers to enable them develop a healthy financial life in the future.
