Diamond Bank Unearths Opportunities for Investors in 2016

The Diamond Bank Plc holds a seminar to guide investors on the best sectors to make their investment n 2016 to get maximum returns despite the current economic downturn in the country

DIAMOND Bank Plc. has said there are viable investment windows that would help restore investor confidence in Nigeria and increase asset value and return on investment despite the current decline in the price of crude oil and the value of the Naira.

At a recent “Diamond Privilege seminar” themed: “Investing in 2016, Riding the Storm, Unearthing the Opportunities,” in Lagos, Uzoma Dozie, chief executive officer of Diamond bank, expressed hope that the bank’s strategic focus on helping investors to invest in sectors that will yield good return on their investment despite the volatile economic environment in the country would be fruitful.

He said that Diamond Privilege, the bank’s wealth management unit, is filled with knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated personnel who are ready to work with clients to guide them well to identify and leverage on opportunities in the market.

“We are driven by the clear need to address issues around current market volatility while highlighting the tremendous opportunities that would deliver significant yields to the confident and discerning investors,” he said.

Also, Bode Agusto, founder of Agusto & Co, leade speaaker at the seminar, along with other discussants led by led by Aishah Ahmad, head of Consumer Banking at the bank, identified sectors of the economy where investment opportunities abound to include real estate, education, health, agriculture.

Others which they classified as non-import dependent sectors are electricity energy and federal government bonds especially now that the level of government borrowing to fund the budget 2016 will increase, listed equities with strong fundamentals and competitive valuations and private equity investments in education and healthcare and real estate.

Agreeing, other discussants including Emeka Uzomba, Fixed Income Analysts, Diamond Bank, Paul Onwuanibe, Real Estate Specialist, and Titi Odunfa-Adeoye, Equity Market Analyst, stressed that investments in opportunities in the equities market should be done with caution, urging investors stick to global portfolio analysis offered by Diamond Privilege. This will help investors to assess their investments from a risk and return perspective that will give them maximum benefits.
