A group, Bola Tinubu Support Organisation in the United Kingdom (BTSO UK) has distributed over 1,000 flash lights to rural areas in Ogun Central Senatorial District to support Gov. Dapo Abiodun’s re-election.

The group, led by Mr Abiodun Keshinro, the Coordinator for BTSO UK/BTSO, diaspora grassroots support for better governance in Ogun, distributed the souvenir at an event held in Abeokuta on Monday.

Keshinro noted that the materials were handed over to a team of BTSO on ground, who would in turn distribute the flash lights to potential targets in the six local government areas in Ogun central.

He said that the purpose was to canvass votes for Gov. Abiodun come March 11, governorship election in the state, saying that the target was to have maximum votes for the governor.

Keshinro, who said that the gesture would be achieved between now and the election, noted that it would ensure landslide victory for the governor at the polls.

He added that the belief and trust in Abiodun was based on his track records since assumption of office, leadership prowess and his ability to always put round pegs in round holes.

The coordinator of BTSO UK/BTSO added that the group remained a movement and self-funded by committed members of its executive and had embarked on different projects.

“We are here to support Gov. Abiodun’s re-election. We have decided to spread souvenirs to inner places, rural areas in order to support the governor’s re-election.

“Having a local canvassing team to assist on door to doors electioneering will give another advantage and dimension to the success of the election.

“We did similar things to support our President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu, and it worked. So, this will not be an exception,” he said.

Oluwole Babatunde, Coordinator, BTSO UK, Obafemi Owode Local Gvernment, noted that the intention was to canvass votes for Abiodun at the grassroots level.

“We want to ensure that the governor continue the work he has started. He has done massively well for a re-election into office,” he said.(NAN)
