Dogara, Dalung, Anyim, 4 Governors, Others to Grace Varsity of Jos Alumni Reunion

YAKUBU Dogara, speaker of the House of the Representatives, is among galaxy of elites and guests expected to attend the 2017 Mega Reunion of the University of Jos Alumni Association which holds this Thursday, September 28.
The event scheduled to hold at the Yar’adua Centre Abuja, is organised to “bring Josites together to discuss issues that would help attract the needed infrastructure to the University”
This, is contained in a release jointly signed by Idris Yakubu, national president, and Prof. Emeka Desmond Ozoji, public relations officer, and made available to the media.
The event would also be attended by 20 other Legislators from the National Assembly, Governors of Plateau, Imo, Kebbi and Bauchi States (who are Josites).
Others are Usani U Usani, ministers for Niger Delta Affairs; Solomon Dalung,Youths and Sports Development, and Prof Claudius Daramola, Niger Delta counterpart.
Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mike Okiro, former Inspector General of Police, are also billed to be in attendance.
The University of Jos Alumni Association, UJAA, will hold its 2017 Unijos Alumni mega reunion and dinner on Thursday, September 28, at the Yar’adua Centre Abuja.
According to the release, Josites who have carved a niche for themselves in their various endeavors, would be recognized and awarded during the event, which is expected to have The Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Sebastian Seddi Maimako (who is also an alumnus) in attendance.
“During the event, Alumni members who have distinguished themselves in their respective areas of calling, shall be honored with awards; while Josites who recently got into executive and appointive positions in both the public and private sectors, would be recognised and celebrated. The Vice- Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Sebastian Seddi Maimako (also a Josite), will be making his first major appearance among the the Alumni family, having assumed office in June 2016”
The release further stated that the re-union would also witness the “unveiling of a 3D presentation of the Unijos Alumni Centre Project, a multi-purpose Centre to be built on the permanent site of the university, that will incorporate a 500 seat Auditorium; meeting rooms; offices; shops, Internet bar; reception lounges and an Honours arcade”
“All funds raised during the event will be deployed towards building the Centre” the statement said.
