OSUN state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned the All Progressive Congress to face its badly divided house and not drag it into reported  battle for the governorship ticket among Mr Gboyega Oyetola, Engr Badmus and Ajibola Bashiru.

“We read the report this morning like any other resident of Osun state and we are shocked that the APC is pointing accusing fingers at the PDP”, according to a statement by Sunday Bisi, State Chairman, Osun State PDP

Bisi said: “The Otoge or whatever name they are called are not members of our party. We read they are reporting Mr Oyetola to the Presidency and that they prefer either Ajibola Bashiru or one Engr Badmus to Oyetola as a guber choice in 2026.

“As much as the public is fully aware of the battle royale within the APC, it is none of our business in the state PDP as we know there is no vacancy at Abere Government House in 2026.

“We encourage the APC to continue to live in denial of its deepening internal wars but we plead that we should not be smeared by a party that is reputed for its loss of goodwill and terrible antecedents of anti-people policies and programmes.

“Whether the APC presents the failed former Governor or the cantankerous Bashiru or the neophyte Badmus, Governor Ademola Adeleke will still win in 2026 by God and by man.

“The sordid record of the previous APC government is still fresh in the mind of the people and no amount of window dressing and window shopping for a clean candidate outside the discredited Oyetola will change the electoral map of the state.

“Governor Adeleke has succeeded where the APC failed. The people know the truth and they are not ready to return to the evil jungle from where the PDP rescued them in 2022.”
