A Jos Magistrates’ Court on Monday sentenced a 30-yearold driver, Aminu Sani, in a correctional centre for stealing a motorcycle.
The Magistrate, Shawomi Bokkos, summarily tried and sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to the charge.
Bokkos gave him an option of N50, 000 fine.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that the case was reported on Sept. 17 by a police officer from the anti-kidnapping unit in Jos.
Gokwat said the convict was given the motorcycle to wash and he absconded with it.
He said that the offence contravened the Plateau State Penal Code Law. (NAN)
