The President of the ECOWAS Commission meets with the Executive Secretary of SADC on the margins of United Nations #UNGA78 in New York.
Omar Alieu Touray, the president of the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS Commission) and the Executive Secretary of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), Elias M. Magosi, held bilateral talks on the margins of the 78th UN General Assembly on September 20, 2023 in New York.
They discussed areas of collaboration, as they facilitate peace, security, regional integration, cooperation and socioeconomic development among the Member States in their Regional Economic Communities.
President Touray also gave a brief on the current situation in Niger and the rational behind ECOWAS decisions to restore constitutional order in Niger.
